Prep boys soccer: Shorewood 1, Shorecrest 0

SHORELINE — Kabir Kahn converted a penalty kick in the 73rd minute after teammate Callahan Gobel was taken down in the box to lift Shorewood to a 1-0 victory over Shorecrest in a Wesco 3A/2A match on Wednesday.

Isaac Whitaker kept a clean sheet for the Thunderbirds and helped Shorewood deal the Scots their first league loss of the season.

Goals—Kabir Kahn (SW). Goalkeepers—Shorecrest: Matt Wheaton. Shorewood: Isaac Whitaker. Records—Shorecrest 7-1-0 league, 10-1-1 overall. Shorewood 6-2-0, 7-3-2.
