Shorecrest 120, Shorewood 66

SNOHOMISH — Despite finishing second in the 200 individual medley, Shorecrest’s Tristan Serrano (1 minute, 58.44 seconds) eclipsed the 3A state meet qualifying time of 1:59.00 in addition to Shorewood’s Frederick Anderson, who won the event at 1:56.32. Serrano also qualified in the 100 butterfly (52.41) and as part of the 400 freestyle relay alongside Colton Stoecker, Kason Kirkpatrick and Ian Reece (3:18.15). Stoecker and Kirkpatrick were also part of the state-qualifying 200 medley relay with Deming Gates and Zander Muilenburg (1:38.87). With six swimmers hitting state qualifiers, the Scots (8-0-0, 4-0-0) cruised past the Stormrays (7-1-0, 3-1-0) to remain undefeated and hand Shorewood its first league loss.
