PREP BOYS SWIMMING ROUNDUP: Marysville-Pilchuck juggles lineup in win

MARYSVILLE — Marysville-Pilchuck’s boys swimming team tested many of its swimmers on Tuesday, swimming them in events that they weren’t used to doing to prepare them for later in the season.

The change didn’t slow the Tomahawks, who remained unbeaten with a convincing 137-46 Wesco North win over Cascade.

The meet was highlighted by Drew Preston’s narrow victory over Cascade’s Eric Ellersick in the 100-yard backstroke. Preston (1:01.89) and Ellersick (1:02.02) both had District 1 meet qualifying times. Ellersick shaved close to four seconds off of his previous best time.
