SNOHOMISH — Glacier Peak’s Patrick Luangrath won two singles matches Tuesday to earn a spot in the championship match at the Wesco 3A South District Tournament.
Luangrath, who entered the tournament as the No. 1 seed, earned his spot in the finals by defeating Shorewood’s Hugh Gaevert 6-2, 6-1 in the semifinals. He will face either Meadowdale’s Bret Matsik or his teammate, Scott Wilson, in the finals.
Shorewood’s Cameron McDowell and Jack Bang advanced to the championship as the No. 1 seed in doubles play.
