Prep boys tennis/soccer: Jackson freshman nets 4A South singles crown

MILL CREEK — Michael Chamerski is new to this postseason tennis stuff — but he gets it.

The Jackson freshman captured the Wesco 4A South singles championship Friday at Jackson High School with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Mike Stepenski of Edmonds-Woodway.

He will advance to next week’s District 1 tournament at Mt. Vernon H.S. as the Wesco’s No. 1 seed.
