AUBURN — Auburn Mountainview forced five turnovers and scored 31 consecutive points between the first and third quarters to beat Glacier Peak in the first round of the 3A Quad-District playoffs.
Trailing 7-0, the Grizzlies scored 10 consecutive points — on a 1-yard run by Brady Southard and a 47-yard field goal by Spencer Pettit — before the Lions went on their run.
Auburn Mountainview quarterback Gresch Jensen threw four touchdown passes and ran for another score. Jensen threw three consecutive touchdown passes during the 31-0 run.
Glacier Peak added a 5-yard touchdown pass from Southard to Justin Guffey in the third quarter and a 1-yard touchdown run by Diego Ayala in the fourth quarter.
The Grizzlies finished the year with a record of 6-4.
