MOUNT VERNON — JJ Jerome scored his second touchdown of the game with just over one minute remaining to give Monroe a come-from-behind victory over Mount Vernon in a Wesco 4A contest.
Jerome, a sophomore running back, finished with 15 carries for 94 yards and two touchdowns for the Bearcats. Monroe’s final drive was set up by a Jesse Jarosky interception, his second of the game.
Tristan Brock finished with 222 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries for the Bulldogs.
