EVERETT — The Timberwolves won their first league game since 2018 by defeating the Marauders. Jackson improved to 1-1 in league and 2-4 overall, Mariner dropped to 0-2, 0-6.

Glacier Peak 42, Kamiak 0

SNOHOMISH — Lucas Entler threw five touchdown passes, three in the first quarter, as Glacier Peak rolled to the league win.

Nicholas Torgeson had two TD catches, and Kaleel Chim, Adama Loum and Isaiah Owens each had one. Owens added a rushing score in the fourth.

Isaiah Olson, Michael Darling and Isaiah Cuellar-Bell each had an interception for the Grizzlies, which improved to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in league.

Kamiak fell to 0-6 overall and 0-1 in league.

WESCO NORTH

Marysville Getchell 14, Ferndale 13

MARYSVILLE — Shawn Etheridge and Arion Palacol each ran for touchdowns in the second quarter, and the Chargers pulled off the upset against the Golden Eagles.

Ferndale’s Phoenyx Finkbonner scored the second of his two rushing touchdowns in the third quarter, but the Golden Eagles missed the extra point. That proved to be the difference.

Marysville Getchell improved to 2-2 in league and 4-2 overall, while Ferndale dropped to 2-2, 4-2.

Arlington 42, Marysville Pilchuck 14

ARLINGTON — The Eagles clinched the Wesco 3A North title with two weeks to spare with the convincing victory over the Tomahawks.

Leyton Martin threw three touchdown passes and Koby Spady scored two defensive touchdowns to lead Arlington, which scored 21 unanswered points after leading just 21-14 in the second quarter.

Chase Deberry, Jake Willis and Kaid Hunter caught touchdowns for Arlington (5-0 league, 6-0 overall) and Caleb Reed ran for a score.

Marysville Pilchuck fell to 3-2, 4-2.

WESCO 3A SOUTH 

Edmonds-Woodway 21, Shorecrest 0

EDMONDS — The Warriors remained undefeated in league play with the victory over the Scots.

Edmonds-Woodway got all the offense it needed with two quick touchdowns in the first quarter on Steven Warren Jr. passes to Diego Escandon and Cannon Kennard. The Warriors’ defense did the heavy lifting after that, and Rashaad Gerona-Chatters scored a late rushing TD to put gloss on the final score.

Warren finished 16-for-18 for 178 yards and Escandon had nine catches for 98 yards for Edmonds-Woodway, which improved to 4-0 in league and 5-1 overall heading into next week’s huge game at Monroe, which will determine supremacy in Wesco 3A South.

Shorecrest dropped to 1-4, 1-5.

Monroe 48, Shorewood 0

SHORELINE — Blake Springer threw five touchdown passes, leading the Bearcats in the rout of the Stormrays.

Ryan Miller caught two touchdown passes, while Mason Davis, Aaron Clifton and Iseah Canizales each caught one for Monroe (4-0 league, 6-0 overall), which set up what amounts to a Wesco 3A South championship showdown against Edmonds-Woodway next week. Carl Watson and Gavin Ranz added rushing TDs and combined for 189 yards on just nine carries for the Bearcats.

Shorewood dropped to 1-3, 2-4.

Mountlake Terrace 50, Lynnwood 6

EDMONDS — Zaveon Jones needed just nine carries to score five touchdowns and Mountlake Terrace rolled past Lynnwood.

Jones finished with 103 rushing yards and a 44-yard reception. Rayshaun Connor and Owen Boswell added rushing scores for the Hawks (4-1 league, 5-1 overall).

The Royals dropped to 0-5, 0-6.

Lake Stevens 35, Eastlake 27

SAMMAMISH — In a battle of Class 4A heavyweights, the Vikings played from ahead through much of the game and held on at the end to defeat the Wolves.

Kolton Matson threw three touchdown passes for Lake Stevens (5-1), which regularly sustained long drives that Eastlake was not able to stop. David Brown caught two touchdowns, Talha Rai ran for two scores and Jesse Lewis also caught a TD for the Vikings, who were without star running back Jayshon Limar for the second straight week.

Landon Renfroe threw three touchdowns — two to Grady Woodward and one to Jack Edmunds — and Edmunds also ran for a score for Eastlake (5-1), which had the ball in Lake Stevens territory in the final minute before turning the ball over on downs.

Union 30, Stanwood 13

STANWOOD — The Titans scored the game’s final 27 points to defeat the Spartans.

Stanwood led 13-3 in the second quarter thanks to a pair of touchdowns from Max Mayo, one on an interception return and one on a run. However, Union forced turnovers and capitalized, scoring three second-quarter TDs to take a 23-13 lead into halftime.

Union improved to 2-4, Stanwood dropped to 3-3.

Cedarcrest 52, Meadowdale 13

DUVALL — The Red Wolves blitzed the Mavericks, racing to a 52-0 lead in the third quarter en route to the victory.

Connor Altmyer was nearly perfect passing, going 9-for-10 for 242 yards and two touchdowns to lead Cedarcrest (5-1). Meanwhile, JT Marsh caught six passes for 210 yards and two scores, and he also threw a 92-yard touchdown to Connor Haraden. Avery Kleppen led the Red Wolves’ ground attack with 80 yards on six carries and a score.

Victor Eicher caught 10 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown and Auggie Wilrich carried seven times for 85 yards and a score to lead Meadowdale (3-3).

Cascade 28, Everett 14

EVERETT — In a competitive Battle of Broadway, Zach Lopez ran for three touchdowns as the Bruins defeated the crosstown rival Seagulls.

Everett pulled within 21-14 late in the fourth quarter after Michael Noland found Ian Hendry with a 17-yard touchdown pass. But needing to run out the clock, Cascade’s Andi Cosme broke through for a 22-yard touchdown run to ice it. The Bruins improved to 1-4.

Evan Hartt added a touchdown run for Everett (2-4).

Lynden 28, Archbishop Murphy 21

EVERETT — The Wildcats gave the defending Class 2A state champions all they could handle, but ultimately came up short against the Lions.

The score was tied 21-21 at halftime, but a third-quarter Lynden touchdown proved to be the difference.

Lynden improved to 4-0 in league and 5-1 overall, Archbishop Murphy fell to 2-2, 3-3.

King’s 56, Sultan 7

Sultan — The Knights raced to a 56-0 lead in the second quarter in the victory over the Turks.

Noah Clark ran for two touchdowns and threw for two scores to lead King’s (1-0 league, 6-0 overall).

Derek Feltner ran for the lone score for Sultan (0-2, 4-2).

Granite Falls 20, Cedar Park Christian (Bothell) 3

KIRKLAND — Bradley Kehoe caught one touchdown pass and ran for another, leading the Tigers over the Eagles.

Kaden Laplaunt threw two TD passes — the other going to Johnathan Roberts — as Granite Falls improved to 2-0 in league and 5-1 overall. Kehoe finished with 117 total yards of offense on 11 touches.

Cedar Park Christian fell to 1-1, 3-3.

Darrington 56, Quilcene 14

DARRINGTON — Hunter Anderson did it all, rushing for 117 yards and throwing for 221 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Loggers over the Rangers.

Mikey Soito added 100 yards on the ground and a touchdown, and he also caught three passes for 108 yards and two scores for Darrington. Cooper Green added 151 all-purpose yards and three TDs for the Loggers.

Darrington remained perfect on the season at 4-0 in league and 6-0 overall. Quilcene dropped to 1-2, 1-4.

THURSDAY’S GAMES

Liberty (Renton) 46, Snohomish 14

RENTON — Snohomish fell behind 21-0 after the first quarter and couldn’t slow Liberty (Renton) down in the first half in the non-league loss. The Panthers trailed 46-0 at halftime.

William Hernandez and Cohen Bennett each had a rushing touchdown in the second half for Snohomish (1-5).

Liberty improved to 3-3 on the season.

Lakewood 46, Squalicum 42

Lakewood (2-3, 1-2) won its first league game in a shootout over Squalicum (3-3, 1-3).

Nash Espe was 16-for-22 passing for 384 yards — the second most passing yards in a game in school history — and three touchdowns to lead the Cougars. JJ Hoekendorf caught five passes for 155 yards and a touchdown, Bakary Sonko caught four balls for 112 yards and a score, and Toren Jack ran for two TDs for Lakewood.

MARYSVILLE — Tulalip Heritage scored the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter to earn the win over Crescent.
