Prep girls basketball: Darrington 64, Highland Christian 13

ARLINGTON — Jessica Brooks, Darrington’s senior post player, scored 21 points and the Loggers cruised to the Northwest 1A/2B league win on opening night for each team. The Loggers jumped out to a 16-0 lead through the first eight minutes and never looked back. Esther Brown scored seven points to lead Highland Christian in defeat.
