FERNDALE — Erika Locker scored 23 points to lead Ferndale to a 3A District 1 tournament win, knocking the Seagulls out of the playoffs. Everett held a 10-point lead at one point in the third quarter but foul trouble and the Golden Eagles pressure defense, which caused 21 Seagulls turnovers, turned the tide of the game, according to Everett coach John Low. Ferndale made it to the free-throw line 31 times to Everett’s 14. Jesselyn Taggart scored 13 points and Emily Liger added 11 points and 11 rebounds to lead Everett.
