MILL CREEK — Jackson used a big first half Friday night to win an important Wesco South matchup against Meadowdale 60-42.

Erin Feeney and Kristin Stoffel led the first-half charge. Feeney had 16 of her game-high 27 points and Stoffel had 14 of her 19 in the half. The Timberwolves outscored Meadowdale 37-22 in the first two quarters.

“We pressed a lot in the first half, and we were able to build up a lead,” Jackson coach Jeannie Thompson said.

Jackson’s win keeps it alive for a Wesco South title, with Meadowdale, Edmonds-Woodway and Kamiak in the running.

“We need to win out to get homecourt advantage, getting this one tonight was huge,” Thompson said.
