Prep girls golf: Whidbey Shootout

OAK HARBOR — Cassie McKinley of Shorewood won medalist honors at the Whidbey Shootout by eight shots with a 4-over-par 77. Everett’s Jody Barhanovich shot an 85 to finish second and in third was Grace Choi of Kamiak with 89. Snohomish was the low scoring team with 501. Oak Harbor coach Andy Wesley said conditions for the tournament were good, with some wind early, intermittent sun breaks and no rain.
