Prep girls soccer: Archbishop Murphy 1, Sumner 0

SUMNER — Kelly Gould scored the game’s only goal, a header off of a Cali Crisler’s corner kick, to lead Archbishop Murphy to the 2A state quarterfinal win. Gould headed the ball directly down, and the ball bounced into the goal for the 65th-minute goal. Archbishop Murphy (16-5 overall) goalkeeper Anna Whitehouse had the shutout. The Wildcats match up against Interlake on Friday at Shoreline Stadium, and with a victory can advance to the championship game to face the winner of the Cedarcrest-East Valley (Spokane) game.
