BELLEVUE — A goal by Bellevue in the sixth minute was all the Wolverines needed to beat Arlington on Saturday in a quarterfinal match of the 3A state girls soccer tournament.
“It was a long cross from the outside right backs and Jojo (Harber) headed it in,” Arlington head coach Nathan Davis said. “She’s a dangerous player and she got one by us.”
Both Arlington and Bellevue played “…a lot of hard soccer in the middle of the field. Both teams were very physical and very fast,” Davis said. “We didn’t really capitalize on chances that we got.”
Bellevue moves on to a semifinal match against Edmonds-Woodway at 2 p.m. Friday at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup.
At Bellevue H.S.
Goals—Jojo Harber (B). Assists—not reported. Goalkeepers—Arlington: Kat Sanchez. Bellevue: not reported. Records—Arlington 17-5-0. Bellevue not available.
