SEDRO-WOOLLEY — The Red Wolves and Wildcats finished regulation in a scoreless draw, and remained tied after 10 minutes extra of time in a 2A District 1 loser-out match.
In the ensuing penalty kick shootout, Cedarcrest senior goalkeeper Maggie Richey saved a shot and Archbishop Murphy missed another as the Red Wolves converted their first four attempts.
Cedarcrest moves on to play Burlington-Edison for third place and the district’s third and final state tournament berth this Saturday at 7 p.m.
