LAKE STEVENS — With a win over Monroe, Lake Stevens remains close behind Snohomish in the Wesco North with two league games remaining. The games lone goal came in the 52nd minute by Dani Walsh off an assist from Ciara Carter. Kiaya Paulsen started the game in goal for Lake Stevens but came out with an injury with seven seconds remaining in the first half. Hunter Young completed the shoutout. Lake Stevens improved to 11-2 league 12-2 overall, while Monroe fell to 5-8 5-9.
