MONROE—Emily Donnelly scored the game’s only goal late in the second half to give Monroe a 1-0 lead and the Wesco 4A North victory. The game was scoreless most of the way, with the Bearcats taking 14 shots on goal to Lake Stevens’ 10. But in the 68th minute, Jamie Hawkins slid a ball over the defense and Donnelly ran onto it. Her shot to the far post stayed on the ground and away from the keeper, going in for the decider. Sydney Day had the shutout in goal for Monroe.
