LAKE STEVENS — Laila Carpenter hit a pair of home runs, including a go-ahead two-run blast in the seventh inning, and Glacier Peak defeated Lake Stevens in a Wesco 4A contest.

Faith Jordan allowed one run on four hits and four walks and struck out four in a complete game. Carpenter finished 2-for-3 and drove in all three runs for the Grizzlies (11-1, 1-0 league). Bri Titus added a double.

Alexa Bradley homered and Charli Pugmire tossed a complete game, striking out eight, and allowed three runs on five hits and four walks for the Vikings (5-6, 0-1).

Wesco 3A/2A

Everett 4, Marysville Pilchuck 1

EVERETT — Taylor Millar tossed a complete game and struck out 10 while allowing just two hits and one unearned run as the Seagulls remained unbeaten by topping Marysville Pilchuck in a Wesco 3A/2A clash.

Millar doubled and drove in a run while going 2-for-3 at the plate. Jemyah Reed also went 2-for 3 with an RBI, Riannon Botz drove in a run and Isa Davis and Shayne Hoekendorf hit doubles for the Seagulls (9-0, 6-0 league).

Emily Downing went six innings and struck out 11 while allowing four runs (two earned) on seven hits and three walks. Meliah Bertapelle had an RBI and Riley Perrine and Erin Fischer went 1-for-3 for the Tomahawks (5-5, 5-2).
