SHORELINE — Jadon Claps went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and three RBI and Glacier Peak used an eight-run fifth inning to pull away for a non-league rout of Shorewood on Monday.

Ashton Olson and Karsten Sweum each went 2-for-3 with three RBI to add to the offensive onslaught for the Grizzlies (3-1), who pounded out 15 hits. Olson and Paxton Bigby each hit a triple.

Mason Divinney earned the win while allowing five runs, one earned, and striking out four batters over four innings.

Pete Cox went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI and Hunter Alston drove in two runs to lead the Stormrays (1-3).

EVERETT — Abby Surowiec and Alexa Hamshaw hit back-to-back home runs and combined to pitch all seven innings as Cascade opened Wesco 3A/2A play with a victory over Arlington on Monday.

Surowiec tossed three innings and hit a two-run blast and Hamshaw allowed only one run over four innings and hit a solo homer for the Bruins (2-0, 1-0 league).

Arlington fell to 1-1 (0-1).

Carson and Avery Grutz each double during 2-for-4 performances at the plate, Gracie Long homered and Riley Wheaton and Cate Wheaton went 2-for-3 for the Stormrays (3-0).

Sammi Bruton went 3-for-3 with a triple and Alexis Slater went 3-for-4 to pace the Marauders (2-1).
