Mountlake Terrace 27, Spanaway Lake 0 (5 innings)

SPANAWAY — Jack Gripentrog drove in four runs and four other Hawks drove in three apiece as Mountlake Terrace blasted Spanaway Lake in a non-league contest.

Gripentrog finished 2-for-2 with three runs scored and Talan Zenk, Ethan Swenson, Bede Bresee and Matthew Meadows had three RBI for the Hawks (1-0). Swenson, Bresee and Meadows each had three hits. Tyler Shankle added a hit, an RBI and five runs scored. Braden Thompson picked up the win, striking out three and allowing two walks and one hit over two scoreless innings.

Spanaway Lake fell to 0-1.

Lake Stevens 7, Mount Vernon 3

EDMONDS — Seth Mahler allowed on hit over four scoreless innings and Colin Beazizo drove in three runs as the Vikings beat the Bulldogs in a non-league game.

Beazizo went 2-for-4 for Lake Stevens (1-0).

Mount Vernon fell to 0-1.

Burlington-Edison 17, Lakewood 8

ARLINGTON — Wyatt Penvy went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI, but the Cougars fell to the Tigers in a non-league game.

Tyler Duncan added three singles and a walk for Lakewood (0-1). Pevny took the loss after allowing three runs over two innings two two strikeouts.

Jackson Granger had four singles and Bryson Lane went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI for Burlington-Edison (1-0). Tyler Walker earned the win after striking out four over two innings.
