BOYS BASKETBALL

Wesco

Edmonds-Woodway 73, Shorewood 53

SHORELINE — Adonai Daniel led 10 Edmonds-Woodway scorers with 17 points and the Warriors closed out the shortened Wesco season with a win over Shorewood on Thursday night.

The Warriors trailed by four after the first period, but outscored the Thunderbirds 61-37 the rest of the way to earn the victory.

Senior Steele Swinton scored 11 points and Ben Hanson added 10 for Edmonds-Woodway (4-6).

Rahme Salim scored a game-high 22 points and Ethan Farley added eight for Shorewood (3-7).

Lake Stevens 89, Cedarcrest 64

LAKE STEVENS — Grayson Murren scored a team-high 18 points and Lake Stevens earned a high-scoring win over Cedarcrest in the season finale for both schools on Thursday night.

The Vikings made four 3-pointers in the first period as they raced out to an 11-point lead and cruised from there.

Kye Taylor scored 16 points and Maddox Preder added 14 for Lake Stevens (8-2).

Senior standout Kian Pegueros-Warren had a massive game with 34 points, including four 3-pointers, for Cedacrest (4-6).

Shorecrest 71, Meadowdale 61

LYNNWOOD — Elijah Johnson scored a game-high 25 points and Shorecrest closed out a strong season with a win over Meadowdale on Thursday night.

The Scots stormed to a 22-6 lead after the first period and held back the Mavericks down the stretch to earn the victory.

Devon Nehring scored 16 points, Newton Pepple had 12 and senior Hayden Bohag chipped in 11, including a trio of 3-pointers, for Shorecrest (9-1).

Senior Leo Baquian and Aiden Bloomquist had 14 points each, Jeremy Kim added 11 and senior Isaac Braxton chipped in 10, including three 3-pointers, for Meadowdale (0-10).

Lakewood 60, Stanwood 55

ARLINGTON — Blake Conyers scored 14 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter as Lakewood rallied from a five-points deficit to beat Stanwood in the final game of the season for both schools on Thursday.

Justice Taylor had a terrific all-around game for Lakewood (9-1) with 19 points, 11 rebounds and six assists.

Kaeden McGlothin scored 20 points and senior Dom Angelshaug added 12 for Stanwood (5-5).

Marysville Getchell 71, Jackson 63

EVERETT — Senior Malakhi Knight scored a game-high 36 points, including 23 in the second half as Marysville Getchell turned a halftime deficit into a season-closing win over Jackson on Thursday night.

Senior Josiah Koellmer scored 14 points and senior Austin Townsend added 11 for Marysville Getchell (6-4).

Drilon Veliu scored 29 points and Sylas Williams added nine for Jackson (7-3).

Mountlake Terrace 65, Kamiak 59

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — In a matchup of two of the top boys basketball teams in Wesco this season, Mounlake Terrace beat Kamiak 65-59 in the final game of the season for both schools on Thursday evening.

The Hawks capped a highly successful season with an 8-2 record.

Moutlake Terrace’s only two losses on the season came by nine points to undefeated Mariner and two points to one-loss Shorecrest.

Kamiak (7-3) also lost only to Mariner and Shorecrest before Thursday’s defeat.

Everett 55, Monroe 45

EVERETT — Senior Taras Fesiienko scored 27 points and Everett held Monroe to just 19 second-half points to earn a season-ending victory on Thursday night.

Fesiienko made four 3-pointers in the game and freshman Isaiah White chipped in eight points for Everett (2-7).

Senior Sam Olson and Steve Kuhnle led the way with 9 points each for Monroe (2-8).

Snohomish 68, Lynnwood 42

SNOHOMISH — Trey Leckner and Grady Kentch each scored 12 points to lead a balanced offensive attack as Snohomish topped Lynnwood.

Ten different players scored for the Panthers (3-7), including eight points apiece for Amari Biggs and Josh Vandergriend.

Tommy McMahon scored a game-high 19 points and Demiko Jallow chipped in 14 for the Royals (2-8).

DUVALL — Senior Ava Erhardt scored 22 points and Cedarcrest earned a big overtime victory over Lake Stevens in the final game of the season for both schools.

Senior Ava LaPorte added 16 points for Cedarcrest (6-4).

Camille Jentzch had 22 points and Baylor Thomas added 21 for Lake Stevens (5-3).
