Winner to state

North Creek 3, Jackson 1

MILL CREEK — Sixth-seed North Creek beat No. 5 Jackson in a winner-to-state consolation game of the 4A bi-district tournament on Thursday.

Jackson will face No. 4 Issaquah in a winner-to-state, loser-out game at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Bothell High School.

Ferndale 3, Snohomish 0

MARYSVILLE — Kelsey Nichols had seven kills and nine digs, and Anneke Hanson added four kills and four digs, but second-seed Ferndale swept No. 3 Snohomish in a winner-to-state semifinal match of the 3A District 1 Tournament.

Snohomish drops to the consolation bracket and will face either No. 12 Shorewood or No. 8 Oak Harbor in a winner-to-state, loser-out match at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Marysville Pilchuck High School.

Livi Harrison had three kills and seven digs, and Reagan Bullock had three kills, two digs and one block for the Panthers.

Darrington 3, Evergreen Lutheran 0

YAKIMA — Sixteenth-seed Darrington swept No. 17 Evergreen Luteran 25-8, 25-18, 25-18 in an opening-round game of the 1B state tournament on Thursday morning.

Darrington advanced to face No. 1-seed Oakesdale in the first round.

Wilbur-Creston-Keller , Grace Academy 0

YAKIMA — No. 11 Grace Academy fell to No. 6 Wilbur-Creston-Keller in straight sets by scores of 25-20, 25-19, 25-16 in the first round of the 1B state tournament on Thursday.

Grace Academy fell into the consolation bracket to face No. 14 Willapa Valley on Thursday evening.

Oakesdale 3, Darrington 0

YAKIMA — After winning its opening match, Darrington was swept by No. 1 Oakesdale 25-12, 25-15, 25-19 on Thursday afternoon.

Darrington fell into the consolation bracket to face No. 9 Pomeroy late Thursday.

Loser-out consolation for 7th/8th

Grace Academy 3, Willapa Valley 2

YAKIMA — Eleventh-seed Grace Academy hung on to beat No. 14 Willapa Valley in five sets by scores of 13-25, 25-20, 25-21, 19-25 and 15-9 to stay alive in the state consolation bracket.

Grace Academy will face No. 15 Shoreline Christian in the seventh/eighth consolation semifinals at 8 a.m. on Friday.

Pomeroy 3, Darrington 2

YAKIMA — Sixteenth-seed Darrington battled hard in its third match of the day, but fell to No. 9 Pomeroy in five sets by scores of 17-25, 25-13, 25-17, 17-25 and 15-13 in a loser-out consolation game late Thursday night.
