BOYS BASKETBALL

1B District 1 Tournament

Semifinals (both to tri-districts)

Mount Vernon Christian 77, Grace Academy, 45

MOUNT VERNON — Fourth-seeded Grace Academy fell to No. 1 Mount Vernon Christian in the semifinals of the 1B District 1 Tournament.

Grace Academy (13-4), which already advanced to the 1B District 1/2/3 Tournament by virtue of reaching the semifinals, will face No. 3 Orcas Island in a third/fourth-place game on Thursday.

Mount Vernon Christian (17-5) advanced to face No. 2 Lummi Nation in the championship game on Thursday.

Consolation semifinals (loser out)

Lopez 52, Fellowship Christian 42

MOUNT VERNON — Sixth-seeded Fellowship Christian lost to No. 10 Lopez in a 1B District 1 Tournament consolation loser-out game.

Fellowship Christian finished its season with a 9-9 overall record.

Lopez (4-14) advanced to face No. 5 Tulalip Heritage in a winner-to-tri-districts, loser-out game on Thursday.

Tulalip Heritage 68, Shoreline Christian 56

TULALIP — Fifth-seeded Tulalip Heritage beat No. 8 Shoreline Christian in a 1B District 1 Tournament consolation loser-out game.

Tulalip Heritage (14-7) advanced to face No. 10 Lopez in a winner-to-tri-districts, loser-out game on Thursday.

Shoreline Christian finished its season with a 9-10 overall record.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

1A District 2 Tournament

Quarterfinals (non-elimination)

Sultan 61, University Prep 29

SULTAN — Cascadia Yates scored a team-high 18 points as second-seeded Sultan rolled past No. 10 University Prep in the quarterfinals of the 1A District 2 Tournament.

Taylor Cushing scored 15 points and Ranah Rylah added 10 for Sultan (12-8), which advanced to the winner-to-state semifinals against No. 3 Seattle Academy on Saturday.

University Prep (12-6) dropped into the consolation bracket and will face No. 9 Granite Falls in a loser-out game on Thursday.

King’s 62, Bush 18

SHORELINE — Top-seeded King’s rolled to a win over No. 8 Bush in the quarterfinals of the 1A District 2 Tournament.

King’s (19-3) advanced to the winner-to-state semifinals and will face No. 4 Cedar Park Christian on Saturday.

Bush (4-15) dropped into the consolation bracket and will face No. 7 Eastside Prep in a loser-out game on Thursday.

1B District 1 Tournament

Semifinals (both to tri-districts)

Mount Vernon Christian 58, Darrington 16

MOUNT VERNON — Darrington fell to Mount Vernon Christian in the semifinals of the 1B District 1 Tournament.

Darrington (11-8), which already advanced to the 1B District 1/2/3 Tournament by virtue of reaching the semifinals, will face Lummi Nation in the third/fourth-place game on Thursday.

Mount Vernon Christian (18-3) advanced to face Orcas Island in the championship game on Thursday.

Consolation (loser out)

Concrete 49, Grace Academy 14

MARYSVILLE — Grace Academy’s (8-7) season ended with a loss to Concrete in a 1B District 1 Tournament consolation game.
