BASEBALL

Snohomish 10, Cascade 0 (6)

SNOHOMISH — Van Berman, Tommy Brandvold and Chaz Unrue combined on a three-hit shutout as Snohomish blanked Casacde in six innings on Tuesday night.

Berman started and struck out four in three innings before Brandvold and Unrue closed the door.

Nickolas Sakamoto went 3-for-3 with a triple, two RBI and four runs scored and Kale Hammer went 1-for-3 with a double and three RBI to lead the Snohomish (2-0) offense.

Andrew Cisneros had two of the three hits for Cascade (1-1).

Jackson 7, Monroe 3

MONROE — Bryan Ho doubled twice and drove in two runs to help lead Jackson to a victory over Monroe on Tuesday.

Micah Coleman drove in three runs, Dominic Hellman doubled, tripled and scored twice, and Carson Burns went 2-for-4 with an RBI for Jackson (1-1).

Monroe fell to 0-2 on the season.

Kamiak 5, North Creek 4

BOTHELL — Atticus Manning allowed one run and struck out five in five innings pitched to lead Kamiak to a win over North Creek.

Kamiak improved to 1-1 on the season with the win.

Shorewood 4, Ballard 3

SHORELINE — Blake Gettman hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning as Shorewood rallied for a non-league win over Ballard.

Rory Swanson earned the win on the mound for Shorewood (1-0).

Edmonds-Woodway 5, Lake Washington 0

EDMONDS — Jacob Gabler struck out 11 and allowed just two hits in four innings on the mound and went 2-for-3 with a triple and a run batted in at the plate as Edmonds-Woodway opened its new baseball field with a win over Lake Washington, the 2019 3A state champion.

Gibby Marshall-Inman started for Edmonds-Woodway (2-0) and didn’t allow a hit over three innings pitched while striking out four. Lane Corsi went 2-for-3 at the plate for the Warriors.

Sherwood struck out eight and allowed just six hits in seven innings, Leneyah Mitchell went 2-for-3 with an RBI and Macie Dean went 1-for-3 with a double for Jackson (2-0).
