LYNNWOOD – Katie Dewey sank two free throws with two seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to give Shorecrest a 48-44 victory over Lynnwood Wednesday in a Western Conference South Division game.

Dewey finished the game with 12 points including two 3-pointers. Teammate Mary Tseng, who led all scorers, ended up with 15 points, six of which came in the crucial fourth quarter.

Shorecrest, after trailing 25-19 at halftime, stormed back in the third quarter, cutting the lead to 32-31. Tseng took over from there, scoring six of Shorecrest’s 17 points.

“This was a good game,” Lynnwood coach John Rasmussen said. “It was back and forth and it came down to the last few mintues of the game.”

Daylene Wilkie scored 10 points to lead Lynnwood, which lost its second consecutive game by less than six points.
