PREP ROUNDUP: Boys Golf/Track/Girls Tennis

EVERETT — Snohomish’s Michael Jaeger was the only player in the field of 45 players to shoot in the 60s, finishing with a 6-under par 66 Wednesday in the Wesco North boys golf tournament at the par-72 Walter Hall Golf Course.

Snohomish ran away with the meet, finishing first with a team score of 379. Second through fifth was decided by only nine strokes, with Lake Stevens finishing second with 415, Cascade at 418, Everett at 420 and Marysvile-Pilchuck at 422.

Everett’s Nick White finished at even-par 72 for second place individually. Cascade’s Anthony Chiarelli and Snohomish’s Dylan Stensland finished tied for third at 2-over par 74. Arlington’s Dylan Hunton followed with a score of 75.

Cascade Conference meet: At Duvall, second-place finisher Taylor Guske of Lakewood led three teammates to top-eight finishes in the 1,600-meter run, giving the Cougars 14 points in the event en route to the lead after the first day of the boys competition. Olivia Thomas of King’s won the girls 1,600 to help the Knights take the Day 1 lead in the girls competition.
