Lynden 52, Archbishop Murphy 42
MOUNT VERNON — Fifth-seeded Archbishop Murphy kept the game close until top-seeded Lynden went on a 21-11 run in the third quarter and held on to beat the Wildcats in the winner-to-state semifinals of the 2A District 1 Tournament.
Archbishop Murphy (12-10) fell into the consolation bracket and will face No. 6 Squalicum in a loser-out game on Wednesday at Mount Vernon High School. The Wildcats will need to win two consolation games to earn a state berth.
Lynden (20-3) clinched a state berth and advanced to face No. 2 Burlington-Edison in the district championship game on Saturday at Mount Vernon.

Anacortes 52, Cedarcrest 25
ANACORTES — Ninth-seeded Cedacrest’s season came to an end with a loss to No. 4 Anacortes in a loser-out consolation game of the 2A District 1 Tournament.
Cedarcrest finished its season with a 4-19 overall record.
Anacortes (12-9) advanced to face No. 3 Sehome in a loser-out game on Wednesday at Mount Vernon High School.
Squalicum 83, Lakewood 42
BELLINGHAM — Seventh-seeded Lakewood’s season came to an end with a loss to No. 6 Squalicum in a loser-out consolation game of the 2A District 1 Tournament.
Lakewood finished its season with a 9-14 overall record.
Squalicum (11-11) advanced to face No. 5 Archbishop Murphy in a loser-out game on Wednesday at Mount Vernon High School.
