Below is the prep roundup for Thursday, Sept. 5.

Shorecrest and Everett girls soccer, Snohomish volleyball and Lakewood, Shorewood and Snohomish boys tennis all earned wins and highlighted today’s results.

SHORELINE — In the 29th minute, senior forward Delaney Lagervall’s shot from about 25 yards out found its way into the back of the net to help lead the Scots over the Panthers. Senior goalkeeper Kylie Mitchell also earned a shutout.

The 2023 Class 3A state runners-up begin the season 1-0 overall. Snohomish dropped to 0-1 overall.

Everett 2, Lynnwood 1

EVERETT — Junior midfielder Tatum Smith and sophomore defender Isabelle Shelton netted goals one minute apart from each other, assisted by senior midfielder Sienna Kuehn, to help lift the Seagulls over the Royals.

Everett begins the season 1-0 overall and Lynwood 0-1 overall.

BELLEVUE — Junior outside Heidi Chambers tallied 21 digs, 15 kills, one ace and one block in the Panthers’ win against the Wolverines. Helping her out was also senior Keira Beverford who earned 14 digs and 11 kills, senior libero Lauren Rice with 11 digs, senior setter Julia DeLeone with 19 assists and four digs, junior setter Maggie Cavanaugh with 21 assists and six digs and senior middle Tyler Gildersleeve-Stiles with seven kills, five blocks and four digs.

Snohomish lost the first set 22-25, won the second 25-22, lost the third 21-25, won the fourth 25-14 and the tiebreaker 15-11.

The Panthers begin the season 1-0 overall.
