SNOHOMISH — Tommy Brandvold hit a go-ahead, three-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to propel Snohomish to a win over Monroe in the league opener for both teams.

Brandvold finished the game 3-for-3 with all four runs batted in, Van Berman struck out seven in 5.1 innings pitched and Jackson Weeks allowed no runs in the final 1.2 innings of relief to earn the win for Snohomish (3-1, 1-0 Wesco North).

Eli Miller went 2-for-3 with a double and Carter Sprague allowed just one run on five hits in five strong innings pitched for Monroe (2-2, 0-1).

Archbishop Murphy 6, Cedarcrest 0

DUVALL — Tommy Zook tossed six scoreless innings and struck out seven to help lead Archbishop Murphy to a non-league win over Cedarcrest.

AJ Bombach, Henry Gabalis and Cody Hogue all had multiple hits in the game for Archbishop Murphy (2-4).

Luke Thompson struck out five in three innings pitched for Cedarcrest (1-1).

Stanwood 6, Everett 1

STANWOOD — Aidan O’Neil allowed just two hits in six innings and struck out 11 to help lead Stanwood to a win over Everett in the league opener for both teams.

Stanwood improved to 1-3 overall and 1-0 in Wesco 3A/2A North play.

Everett fell to 1-3 overall and 0-1 in league.

DEMING — Wyatt Pevny struck out 14 over 6.2 innings and also hit a home run at the plate to help lead Lakewood to a league win over Mount Baker.

Jackson Griffin, Tyler Duncan and Cayden Hayes each collected multiple hits, and Tanner Beard drove in a pair of runs for Lakewood (3-2, 1-0 Northwest Conference).

Mount Baker fell to 0-4 overall and 0-1 in league play.

Everett 16, Edmonds-Woodway 14

EVERETT — Isa Davis went 3-for-4 with a double, two home runs and four RBI, and Jemyah Reed went 2-for-3 with a home run as Everett downed Edmonds-Woodway in a high-scoring league opener.

Madeline Pewitt went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI, and Braylon Yarwood went 2-for-3 with two RBI for Everett (2-0, 1-0 Wesco 3A/2A).

Cameron Siecke went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI, and Abby McCorvey and Maggie Duffy drove in two runs each for Edmonds-Woodway (2-1, 0-1).

Non-league

Kamiak 11, Shorewood 0 (5)

MUKILTEO — Kylie McClure went 2-for-3 with a double, home run and four RBI, and Synclair Mawudeku tossed a five-inning shutout and struck out seven to power Kamiak to a non-league win over Shorewood.

Scarlett Chapman went 4-for-4 with a double and three RBI and Mawudeku added two hits and two runs scored for Kamiak (6-0), which has opened the season with six straight wins.

Marin Cady and Emma Kellum had base hits for Shorewood (3-1).

Marysville Pilchuck 20, Mariner 6 (5)

MARYSVILLE — Erin Fischer went 2-for-4 with five RBI as Marysville Pilchuck’s offense exploded in a non-league win over Mariner.

Hailey Osborn, Morgan Crawford and Sonya Cappelli drove in four runs each and Crawford also struck out seven in the circle for Marysville Pilchuck (2-0).

Mariner fell to 0-4 on the season.
