Mountlake Terrace 7, Shorecrest 1

SHORELINE — Rominic Quiban homered and stole a base and Matthew Meadows went 1-for-2 with two RBI and two walks to help lead Mountlake Terrace to a league-opening win over Shorecrest.

Jack Glover struck out five over four innings and allowed just one run on two hits, Jeremy Perrault struck out three in two clean innings of relief and Hunter Michaelson punched out two in one hitless inning to close the game for Mountlake Terrace (3-0, 1-0 Wesco South).

Shorecrest fell to 2-2 overall and 0-1 in league play.

Edmonds-Woodway 10, Shorewood 6

EDMONDS — Drew Warner and Jens Simonsen each reached base four times and the Warriors opened league play with a win over the Stormrays.

Warner and Simonsen each had two hits and two walks. Warner added and RBI and three runs scored, Simonsen scored twice and Dylan Schlenger drove in two runs for Edmonds-Woodway (3-1, 1-0 Wesco South). Schlenger picked up the win on the mound after striking out five over five innings.

Blake Gettman had three hits and Joey Facilla, Finn Lieko and Logan Anderson each had two hits for Shorewood (2-2, 0-1). Anderson had a double and an RBI and Lieko drove in a run and stole a base.

Meadowdale 11, Cascade 4

LYNNWOOD — Nic Zardis had three hits and four RBI and the Mavericks earned a league victory over the Bruins.

Broderick Bluhm added two hits, two RBI and three stolen bases and Isaiah Kepoo-Sebate added two hits for Meadowdale (3-2, 1-0 Wesco South). Kepoo-Sebate picked up the win after striking out five our 3.2 innings.

Cascade fell to 1-4 overall and 0-1 in Wesco South play.

Non-league

Kamiak 8, Lynnwood 3

BOTHELL — John Hui and Andrew Fetty drove in two runs each and Kamiak, aided by a six-run second inning, earned a non-league win over Lynnwood.

Andrew Hernandez struck out nine and allowed just two earned runs on two hits in four innings, and Tim Cook struck out five in three scoreless innings of relief to close the game for Kamiak (2-3).

Keenan Masters went 2-for-4 with two RBI and struck out eight and allowed no runs on one hit in 5.2 innings of relief, and Jace Hampson went 2-for-3 with a triple for Lynnwood (1-3).

BOTHELL — Olivia Feistel tossed a two-hit shutout over five innings and Meadowdale slugged four home runs in a league-opening win over Lynnwood.

Analise Griffiths, Mia Cantu, Jaeden Sajec and Destiny Emery all homered for Meadowdale (1-1, 1-0 Wesco 3A/2A), which scored nine runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to end the game.

Sydney Weitkamp had a double and struck out nine batters in the circle for Lynnwood (1-1, 0-1).

SNOHOMISH — Katelyn McCallum hit a grand slam and Faith Jordan had four runs batted and struck out eight in five shutout innings to power Glacier Peak to a non-league win over Cedarcrest.

Bri Titus homered and drove in three runs and Maya Mesa also hit a home run for Glacier Peak (4-0).

Abigail Combs and Gabbi Harrington each had a base hit for Cedarcrest (1-2).

Jackson 13, Marysville Getchell 0 (5)

MARYSVILLE — Yanina Sherwood tossed a five-inning no-hitter with eight strikeouts and homered and drove in two runs at the plate as Jackson rolled to a non-league win over Marysville Getchell.

Leneyah Mitchell hit a grand slam, Hailey Pelletier went 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBI, and Rachel Sysum and Simone Williams also homered for Jackson (4-0).

Emme Witter struck out four in five innings and also drew a walk at the plate for Marysville Getchell (2-1).
