“We’ve got a lot of respect for that bunch over there,” Cedarcrest coach Les Collins said of Archbishop Murphy. “They’re a good strong team … they’ve battled us all year long.”
The Red Wolves jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning. Sam Boelter walked and scored on a Murphy throwing error.
Cedarcrest broke the game open in the fourth when Sara Houser connected for a two-out, two-run double to give the Red Wolves a 3-0 lead.
