Prep softball: Edmonds-Woodway 15, Shorecrest 5 (5)

EDMONDS — Edmonds-Woodway scored early and often Thursday — including a six-run second inning — on its way to a Wesco 3A/2A South win over Shorecrest.

Ciara Ortiz had a big day at the plate for the Warriors, going 2-for-3 with a triple and four RBI. Teammate Kendra Cooper added a double and two RBI, while Jackie Lovelace went 2-for-3 with four runs scored.

Jeralyn Pasoquen went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for the Scots.
