Prep softball: Glacier Peak 12, Mountlake Terrace 2 (5 innings)

SNOHOMISH — Glacier Peak took over the game early and continued to beat up the Terrace defense in a Wesco 3A matchup where the Grizzlies’ Alexis Michael hit 3-for-3 with three runs and Olivia Wenzel went 3-for-3 with a double. Winning pitcher Callie Bircher pitched a two-hitter with six strikeouts in a complete five-inning game. Mountlake Terrace had just two hits in the loss, but Maddie Christianson provided a bright spot for the Hawks offense with a single and a score.
