Prep softball: Lakewood 9, South Whidbey 3

LANGLEY — South Whidbey’s Alex Kubeska hit a two-run home run in the first inning, but Kiana Smith and Alexa Chase rallied Lakewood with back-to-back homers in the third and the Cougars would go on to win the Cascade Conference game. Smith finished the week 7-for-11 with two doubles, two home runs and 11 RBI in four games.
