MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Senior Sammy Harter hit her first career home run — a three-run shot in the second inning — to help power Mountlake Terrace past Shorewood in Wesco South 3A/2A action Monday.
Jazz Zenk had a double, drove in three runs and earned the victory on the mound for the Hawks. Zenk (2-0) struck out nine in a complete-game performance.
Kendall Adams hit two home runs for Shorewood, a solo homer in the fourth inning and three-run blast in the seventh.
