Lake Stevens 5, Meadowdale 2

LYNNWOOD — Lake Stevens pitcher Mara Sivley struck out nearly half the 30 batters she faced, finishing with 14 Ks to three hits allowed. Emerson Cummins (2-for-4) paced the Vikings’ (2-2) offense with two RBI. Jaeden Sajec (1-for-3) and Samantha Martens (1-for-3) each scored a run for the Mavericks (0-2).

Monroe 18, Jackson 8 (6)

MONROE — The Bearcats (2-3) turned a 5-3 fourth-inning deficit on its head with a 10-run outburst to close the frame. Hadley Oylear led the way with four RBI on 3-for-5 batting — she was one of three Monroe hitters with three or more RBI (Sophia Jeske, Scarlett Nagy). Jackson (0-2) had a solid day making contact at the plate, going 11-for-29 as a team as Allie Thomsen finished with three RBI.

Kamiak 18, Lynnwood 0 (5)

MUKILTEO — The Knights (3-1) were firing on all cylinders in a massive win over the Royals (1-3). Kamiak went 14-for-27 from the plate as Synclair Mawudeku (2-for-3) and Akemi Kolar (2-for-2, three runs) both had three RBI. Pitcher Gabby Veighey allowed just one hit for Kamiak, striking out eight of the 17 hitters she faced.

Cascade 10, Shorewood 3

SHORELINE — The Bruins (2-3) scored all of their runs in the first inning, overwhelming the Stormrays (3-2). Allison Gehrig (1-for-4, four RBI) hit a grand slam to break the game open in that first-frame barrage. No individual stats were reported for Shorewood.

Stanwood 9, Mount Vernon 0 (3)

STANWOOD — A dominant Spartans showing was punctuated by a third-inning Mount Vernon forfeit. Stanwood’s offense finished 10-for-16 from the plate, as Rubi Lopez (3-for-3) and Taylor Almanza (2-for-2) each scored two runs. Megan Stulc continued a strong season with two hits allowed to five Ks as the Spartans improved to 3-0.
