Kamiak 13, Monroe 12

MONROE—Kamiak (1-1) broke open a 9-9 tie with four runs in the top of the seventh, and Monroe’s three-run rally fell just short in the bottom of the inning. Gabby Veighey singled, double, tripled and drove in four runs for the Knights. Hadley Oylear (two doubles, 5 RBI) and Vivian Knuckey each went 5-for-5 for the Bearcats (1-1).

Everett 4, Mount Vernon 3

EVERETT — Mia Hoekendorf pitched 3 2/3 shutout innings, striking out seven and also drove in two runs for as the Seagulls stayed perfect at 3-0.

Edmonds-Woodway 18, Cascade 6

EDMONDS — Warriors second baseman Abby Tracy avenged an earlier error with two hits late in the game, including a bases-clearing double that ended the game after fiving innings due to the 10-run rule. Ella Campbell went 4-for-4 and scored three runs for E-W (3-0). Izzi Whittle walked, tripled and drove in three runs for Cascade (0-2).

Marysville Getchell 21, Lynnwood 2

LYNNWOOD — Marysville Getchell’s Emme Witter homered and also pitched 2 2/3 innings of shutout ball while striking out six. Aaliyah Shafer went 3-for-5 with 2 RBI and scored three runs for the Chargers (1-1). Olivia Michaels homered for Lynnwood (0-2).

Shorewood 17, Nathan Hale 7

SHORELINE — Grace McLaughlin (3-for-5), Lillian Perrault (2-for-2), Rose Gallagher, Lilah Pickett and Bella Bliss each hit a double for the Stormrays (4-0), who scored 15 runs in the final two innings of the five-inning game.
