Edmonds-Woodway 18, Chief Sealth 2
SEATTLE — The Warriors (2-0) continued their dominant start to the season, winning their first two outings by a combined 35 runs. Senior Catie Ingalls scored three runs and stole two bases on an afternoon where Edmonds-Woodway stole eight. Sophomore Ellie Anderson (3-3) scored four runs and put up two RBI along with a stolen base herself. Sophomore pitcher Helena Marsh struck out seven hitters while allowing two hits and runs in just over three innings pitched. The game was shortened after four innings by a mutual coaches’ decision.
Archbishop Murphy 15, Holy Names Academy 4
EVERETT — The Wildcats (1-0) put the pedal to the metal after a 3-3 first inning. Their sole pitcher on the afternoon, Ari Dixon, would allow just one more run to six strikeouts from the opening frame on. Carly Madhavan (4-4) had a perfect showing from the plate, hitting a two-run homer to get Archbishop Murphy on the board in the first. Markella Vick would lead the Wildcats with four RBI as a tough defensive start turned into a run-rule win.
Stanwood 11, Ferndale 1
STANWOOD — The Spartans (1-0) forced the run rule in five innings to earn their first win of the season. Senior pitcher Megan Stulc nearly held the Golden Eagles scoreless, striking out 10 hitters while giving up one run on two hits. Senior Reagan Ryan tallied two hits and an RBI while scoring twice herself. Sophomore Addi Anderson contributed two RBI while senior Rubi Lopez had a versatile showing with one hit, one RBI, a stolen base and one run scored.
Monroe 3, Glacier Peak 0
MONROE — Monroe freshman Addelyn Bryant pitched a shutout in seven innings to give the Bearcats (1-0) their first win of the season over the Grizzlies (0-1).

Coupeville 8, Lakewood 4
COUPEVILLE — The Cougars (0-1) gave up five unearned runs in their first inning of the season — a total that ended up being the difference. In six innings pitched, Katie Krueger struck out nine hitters and gave up just one earned run on eight hits. Krueger (3-4) also stood out on the offensive end with two RBI as Lakewood scored all four of their runs in a sixth-inning comeback effort. Avery Hite (2-4) and MJ Morales (1-4) each registered an RBI in that sixth-inning barrage.
