Colton Walsh, Meadowdale boys basketball
Walsh, a senior forward, had 25 points, six rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocks in the Mavericks’ 56-51 Wesco 3A/2A victory over visiting Mountlake Terrace. The win was the Meadowdale’s first over the Hawks since 2016.
Brooke Kearney, Edmonds-Woodway girls basketball
Kearney, a senior guard, scored 10 of her team-high 20 points in the third quarter as the Warriors topped visiting Shorewood 52-29 in a Wesco 3A/2A game. Edmonds-Woodway outscored the Thunderbirds 23-3 in the third quarter to open up a 22-point lead after holding an 18-16 advantage at half.
Aaron Kalab, Marysville Pilchuck boys basketball
Kalab, a senior wing, scored a game-high 24 points in Tomahawks’ league-title-clinching 65-35 victory over hosting Everett in a Wesco 3A/2A matchup.
Sabrina Musye, Shorewood girls basketball
Musye, a senior forward, scored 21 of the Thunderbirds’ 29 points (72.4%), including all 13 in the second half, in a 52-29 loss to Edmonds-Woodway.
Than Vo, Lynnwood boys basketball
Vo, a senor guard, scored a game-high 24 points in the Royals’ 50-46 loss to hosting Archbishop Murphy.
Jalin Johnson, Mariner boys basketball
Johnson, a freshman point guard, hit the game-winning basket in the final 30 seconds as the Marauders overcame a nine-point third-quarter deficit to beat hosting Kamiak 56-55 in a Wesco 4A clash. It was Johnson’s only bucket of the game.
