Jayden Acosta-Newsome, Lynnwood boys basketball

Acosta-Newsome, a senior, drained the game-winning 3-pointer in the final seconds to lift the Royals over Mountlake Terrace.

Cole Nelson, Meadowdale boys basketball

Nelson, a sophomore, netted 25 points as the Mavericks knocked off rival Edmonds-Woodway.

Kody Newman, South Whidbey

Newman, a senior, scored 33 points and pulled down nine rebounds in the Falcons’ win over Coupeville.

Heidi Impola, Grace Academy girls basketball

Impola, a freshman, recorded a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds as the Eagles clinched the Northwest 1B title with a win over Shoreline Christian.

Adrienne Poling, Edmonds-Woodway girls basketball

Poling, a senior, scored 26 points in the Warriors’ victory over Meadowdale.

Lindsey Fleming, Sultan girls basketball

Fleming, a junior, scored 14 of her team-high 18 points in the fourth quarter, drilling four straight 3-pointers in the final period, as Sultan bested rival Granite Falls.

Alicia Morrison, Meadowdale girls basketball

Morrison, a junior, poured in 30 points in the Mavericks’ loss to Edmonds-Woodway.

Paris Smith, Cascade girls bowling

Smith, a senior, rolled a 226 game and a 436 two-game series in the Bruins’ win over Jackson.

Chaves Petronave, Everett boys wrestling

Petronave, a freshman, clinched the Seagulls’ 49-24 victory in a Wesco 3A dual against Stanwood with a third-period pin.
