Prep stars of the night for Saturday, Oct. 20

Here are Saturday’s prep stars of the night:

Joseph Skoog, Jackson boys cross country

Skoog, a senior, won the boys’ half of the Wesco Cross Country Championships meet. Skoog posted a personal-best time of 15 minutes, 23.5 seconds to win the meet for the second year in a row.

Taylor Roe, Lake Stevens girls cross country

Roe, a senior, won the girls’ half of the Wesco Cross Country Championships meet. Roe finished the 5,000-meter course in 17:22.6, winning the race for the third straight year.

Naomi Smith, King’s girls cross country

Smith, a junior, won the girls’ half of the North Sound Concference Championships meet. Smith won her second straight conference championship meet with a time of 17:46.1.

Isaac Cortes, Granite Falls boys cross country

Cortes, a junior, posted a personal-best time of 16:12.7 to win the boys’ half of the North Sound Conference Championships meet.
