Here are the prep stars of the night for Saturday, Sept. 28:
Jasmine Nguyen, Marysville Getchell girls cross country
Nguyen, a junior, was the top local finisher in the girls Varsity Division 1 race at the Nike Portland Invite at Blue Lake Park in Fairview, Oregon. Nguyen finished in ninth place with a time of 19 minutes, 12.2 seconds.
Jacob Willcox, Edmonds-Woodway boys cross country
Wilcox, a senior, was the top local finisher in the boys Varsity Division 1 race at the Nike Portland Invite. Wilcox finished fourth with a time of 16:16.9.
Elli Straume, Kamiak girls swim & dive
Strame, a senior, took first place in the 200 individual medley at the Mukilteo Invitational at King County Aquatics Center with a time of 2:10.7. Straume also finished fifth in the 100 backstroke and helped the Knights’ 400-yard freestyle relay team to an eighth-place finish.
Kayli Kersavage, Snohomish girls swim & dive
Kersavage, a junior, won the diving competition at the Mukilteo Invitational with a score of 435.75. Kersavage finished 104.75 points ahead of her nearest competitor.
Jetlynn Hau, Stanwood girls swim & dive
Hau, a senior, set a meet record in the 100 breaststroke at the Mukilteo Invitational with a winning time of 1:05.38. Hau also finished third 200 individual medley and helped the Spartans to a ninth-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
Domonique Gadbois, Granite Falls girls soccer
Gadbois, a senior, scored all four of the Tigers’ goals in a 4-2 non-conference win over Meridian.
Ava Erhardt, Cedarcrest girls soccer
Erhardt, a junior, score three goals in the Red Wolves’ 7-0 Wesco 3A/2A victory over Meadowdale.
