Here are the stars of the night for Thursday, Jan. 24:

Spencer Thurman, Shorecrest boys swimming

Thurman, a senior, won the 200-yard freestyle and 500 freestyle with Class 3A state qualifying times of 1 minutes, 47.98 seconds and 4:54.54, respectively, in the Scots’ victory over rival Shorewood. Thurman also helped Shorecrest’s 400 freestyle relay team to a victory with a 3A state qualifying time of 3:20.99.

Amanda Lee, Shorecrest girls basketball

Lee, a junior, netted a game-high 22 points in the Scots’ victory over Meadowdale.

Christan Balmer, Jackson boys wrestling

Balmer, a senior, picked up a 16-1 victory via technical fall in the Timberwolves victory over Kamiak. Balmer’s victory was the last of the evening for Jackson and gave the team just enough points to eek out a 38-36 win.

Alex Jensen, Lakewood boys basketball

Jensen, a junior, scored 26 points in the Cougars’ loss to Sehome.
