Dario Ristovski, Glacier Peak boys tennis
Ristovski, a sophomore, lost the first set of his 4A District 1 true second-place match 6-0, but rebounded to beat Jackson’s David Hyun 7-6 (7-2 tiebreaker) and 6-2 to claim the district’s second and final state tournament berth.
Tatum McGovern, Monroe volleyball
McGovern, a senior setter, stuffed the stat sheet with eight kills, 22 assists, 10 digs, four blocks and four aces to lift the Bearcats to a five-set win over Lake Stevens, issuing the Vikings their first loss of the season.
Natalie Stern, Snohomish volleyball
Stern, a senior hitter, recorded 11 kills, three aces and 24 digs to lift the unbeaten Panthers to a four-set win over Stanwood.
Devon Martinka, Stanwood volleyball
Martinka, a senior outside hitter, broke her own school record with 29 kills but the Spartans fell to Snohomish in four sets.
Song-Nhi Vo, Kamiak girls swimming & diving
Vo, a senior, won the 50 freestyle and helped the team’s 200 medley and 200 freestyle teams to first-place finishes in the final dual meet of her career, a 100-86 win over Jackson to clinch the Wesco 3A South title.
Trina Davis, Marysville Pilchuck girls soccer
Davis, a senior, recorded two goals and added three assists to help the Tomahawks thrash Everett 5-0 in a Wesco 3A contest.
