Chang, a junior, cruised to individual wins in the 100 butterfly and the 100 breaststroke, and anchored the Timberwolves’ winning 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays in a 105-65 win over Kamiak at WEST Coast Aquatics.
Emily Mekelburg, Arlington volleyball
Mekelburg, a sophomore outside hitter, recorded 13 kills, four aces and five digs as the Eagles blanked Oak Harbor in a Wesco 3A/2A match. Mekelburg’s fourth service ace came on match point for Arlington, and coupled with Stanwood’s upset win at Snohomish, clinched the Wesco 3A/2A league title for the Eagles.
Jaylene Priebe-Garcia, Lakewood girls soccer
Priebe-Garcia, a senior defender/goalkeeper, helped Lakewood shut out Lynden Christian in a 2-0 Northwest 2A/1A victory.
