Here are the Prep Stars of the Night for Thursday, Sept. 20:
John Williams-Carson Hart, Shorecrest boys tennis
Williams, a junior, and Hart, a sophomore, roared back after falling 6-2 in the first set of the Scots’ No. 3 doubles match against cross-town rival Shorewood. Williams and Hart won the second set 7-6 after an 8-6 tiebreaker, and sealed the win with a 12-10 triumph in the super-tiebreaker third set.
Ashley Anderson, Lynnwood volleyball
Anderson, a senior setter/right side hitter, filled up the state sheet with 32 assists, 10 digs, six service aces and two blocks as the Royals swept Marysville Getchell at home.
Natalie McCabe, Cedarcrest girls soccer
McCabe, a freshman goalkeeper, kept a clean sheet in the Red Wolves’ 3-0 shutout of Stanwood in a Wesco 3A contest. McCabe and Cedarcrest have allowed just one goal this season and have won its first five matches as a member of Wesco 3A.
