Kim, a senior guard, scored eight of her 11 points in the fourth quarter, but the Marauders’ comeback attempt came up short in a 34-32 Wesco 4A loss to Mount Vernon.
Adria Lincoln, Monroe girls basketball
Lincoln, a freshman, scored 24 of the Bearcats’ 47 points (51%) in a 47-32 win over Kamiak in a Wesco 4A matchup.
Kiana Lino, Shorecrest girls basketball
Lino, a junior center, scored 15 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and hit a key 3-pointer in overtime as the Scots maintained control of the Wesco 3A/2A title race with a 59-52 win over Edmonds-Woodway.
Ella Sylvester, Everett girls basketball
Sylvester, a sophomore guard, scored a game-high 29 points, including 17 in the fourth quarter, as the Seagulls beat Stanwood 56-48 in a Wesco 3A/2A contest.
Grace Trichler, Sultan girls basketball
Trichler, a sophomore guard/forward, scored 33 points (21 in the first half) as the Turks beat rival Granite Falls 59-42 in a North Sound Conference game. Trichler accounted for 56% of Sultan’s scoring in the win.
