Elli Straume, Kamiak girls swimming
Straume, a senior, posted a state qualifying time in the 200 freestyle during the Knights’ 113-73 victory over Glacier Peak. Straume swam a time of 1 minute, 59.20 seconds to earn the state bid.
Will MacDonald, Snohomish boys tennis
MacDonald, a sophomore, rebounded from a first-set defeat to topple Shorecrest’s Zaid Khan at No. 2 singles to help the Panthers to a 4-3 win over the Scots at Shoreview Park. Khan won 6-2 in the first set, but MacDonald took the second (6-1) and the third (7-5).
Ryann Reynolds, Glacier Peak girls soccer
Reynolds, a freshman forward, scored two goals and dished out two assists as the Grizzlies blasted Jackson 5-1 in a Wesco 4A match. Glacier Peak ended the Timberwolves’ 17-match Wesco 4A unbeaten streak with the win.
Arianna Bilby, Arlington volleyball
Bilby, a senior outside hitter, recorded 18 kills, 13 digs and two blocks as the Eagles won the final two sets to escape with a 3-2 road win in a Wesco 3A/2A match at Edmonds-Woodway.
