PREP STARS OF THE NIGHT FOR WEDNESDAY, FEB. 12:

Ellie Jackson, Marysville Getchell girls basketball

Jackson, a freshman guard, scored a team-high 26 points — including eight 3-pointers — as the Chargers beat Lynnwood 55-40 in a 3A Northwest District tournament play-in game. Marysville Getchell will travel to Arlington for a first-round game on Friday.

Kat Townley, Cedarcrest girls basketball

Townley, a sophomore guard, hit five 3-pointers and led all scorers with 19 points in the Red Wolves’ 64-24 win over Blaine in a 2A Northwest District first-round game. Cedarcrest advances to face Burlington-Edison in a quarterfinal game on Friday.
