PREP STARS OF THE NIGHT FOR WEDNESDAY, JAN. 22:

Henry Avra, Mariner boys basketball

Avra, a junior forward, scored 33 points in the 12-1 Marauders’ 84-65 win over Monroe in a Wesco 4A game. Avra and the Marauders are 7-0 in conference play.

Mikayla Jardine, Snohomish girls wrestling

Jardine, a senior, pinned opponents from Lynden and Ferndale as the combined Glacier Peak/Snohomish team won a pair of duals. Jardine is currently ranked 10th in the state at 115 pounds by Washington Wrestling Report, but wrestled at 120 against Lynden and 125 against Ferndale.

Mack Konig, Jackson girls basketball

Konig, a sophomore guard, scored 27 of the Timberwolves’ 42 points in a 42-40 win over Mount Vernon in a Wesco 4A game. Konig’s floater with on the baseline with 6.3 seconds on the clock was the winning bucket for Jackson.
